Ways to Give
“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give,
not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:7
We believe God is a generous God. He provides for all we need, when it is needed and how it is needed. Because God is a generous God, he offers us opportunities to be generous to this world so that they might come to know a generous God too.
There are many ways to be generous. Most of the time, the notion is through financial giving. At Pardeeville UMC, we want you to know that giving is not solely financial, but ALSO with your time and talent. We know that God will bless you to be generous in some way and we encourage you to bless others through our church with your financial gifts, time and talent.
Here is an example of each.
We have people who give anywhere from $5 to $500 to over $5,000 plus. Each amount is blessed and honored because we know the givers are giving from their heart.
We have people provide homemade food for after church fellowship, for an outreach ministry and for other activities in the church. We have people come in and clean the church, organize the pews and rotate our banners. We also have people providing sound and livestream for worship.
We have people using specific skills to maintain our elevator, play instruments in worship, and decorate our bulletin boards.
